Rex announces cheap flights during Christmas period
There’s good news for anyone hoping to leave this Christmas, with Rex announcing cheap rates throughout the holiday season.
The “unprecedented” sale will see discounted seats at a time of year when airlines typically avoid sales due to high demand.
Flights from Melbourne to Sydney and Canberra start from $ 69 and fares from Sydney to NSW Regional are priced at $ 99.
It comes as Rex prepares to reopen its nationwide grid as states relax their border restrictions.
The airline will restart regular services from regional hubs – including Albury, Armidale, Dubbo, Griffith, Orange, Merimbula, Moruya and Wagga Wagga – from November 15.
Discounted fares are on sale now through November 14 for travel through April 30 next year, unless they sell out first.
“I urge travelers to book early as these selling rates will undoubtedly sell out quickly,” said Rex vice president John Sharp.
“The resumption of our flights will give a much needed boost to the capital and regional economies, help reconnect friends and families and allow Christmas holidays to be booked with confidence.”
Sharp said Rex staff are fully vaccinated and the airline offers customers a money-back guarantee policy in the event of “COVID-related disruptions.”
“We offer a full service, you will have your luggage included in the price, refreshments on board and we have a 100% money back guarantee if you cannot catch your flight,” he told Sunrise.
